About These Tools

Free image tools that run entirely in your browser — built to be fast, private, and honest about what they do.

What this site is

This site offers a small set of focused image utilities: an image compressor that hits an exact target size in kilobytes, and converters between the image formats people actually get stuck with — WebP, HEIC, AVIF, JPG, and PNG. Each tool does one job, does it in the browser, and lets you download the result immediately. There are no accounts, no queues, no watermarks, and no daily limits.

Why everything runs on your device

Most online converters ask you to upload your photos to a stranger's server. Modern browsers can decode and re-encode images locally just as well, so these tools do exactly that: the file you pick never leaves your device, nothing is stored anywhere, and closing the tab removes every trace. That design is faster (no upload wait), cheaper to run (no servers to pay for, which is why the tools can stay free), and better for your privacy — see the Privacy Policy for the details.

How the site is supported

The tools are free to use. The site may show advertising in the future to cover domain and hosting costs; ads will never be placed inside the tools in a way that interferes with a conversion, and using the tools will never require payment.

Who runs it

This is an independent, small-scale project. If a tool misbehaves, a conversion looks wrong, or you have an idea for a tool that would genuinely help, please get in touch via the Contact page — bug reports from real files are how these tools get better.
